International Women's Day, celebrated globally on March 8th, was marked with a significant event at Government Science College, Veraval, on March 9, 2024. The celebration aimed at acknowledging and appreciating the vital roles and challenges of women in society. This year's program focused on empowering female students and faculty by addressing crucial issues like harassment, mental strength, and protection. The event saw an enthusiastic participation of 55 students, comprising 43 girls and 12 boys, demonstrating a commendable gender-inclusive spirit. The highlight of the program was the insightful session led by Ms. Daxaben devmurari. Her discussion spanned critical areas such as the harassment women face, the mental strength required by women to overcome challenges posed by husbands, mothers-in-law, and other family members, and the necessity of safeguarding girls. Ms. Daxaben devmurari expertise and passion for women's rights provided an inspiring and educational experience for all attendees.
