Visit of Anna Adarsh College for Women, Chennai

Under the Government of Gujarat’s initiative for faculty learning and exposure on NAAC accreditation and best practices, a study tour was organized for the faculty of Government Science College, Veraval to visit Anna Adarsh College for Women, Chennai, on 29th January 2026.
The delegation included faculty members Dr. Smita B. Chhag (Principal), Dr. Chiragbala Gosai (HOD, Zoology Department), Mr. Vikram Bakotra (HOD, Physics Department), and Dr. Dhananjay Pandya (Assistant Professor, Chemistry Department).
The visit featured interactive sessions with the Principal, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Heads of various Departments (HoDs), Placement Cell, Library, and Entrepreneurship/Innovation Cell. Detailed discussions were held on NAAC accreditation processes, criterion-wise documentation, quality benchmarking, student-centric initiatives, and institutional best practices. The delegation also gained insights into outcome-based education, industry collaborations, placement support systems, research promotion strategies, digital resource management, and effective governance models.
Key learnings included structured quality enhancement mechanisms aligned with NAAC guidelines, innovative teaching-learning methodologies, ICT-enabled practices, student mentoring systems, extension activities, and efficient utilization of institutional resources.
The study tour fostered meaningful academic exchange and strengthened cross-institutional collaboration. It provided valuable, actionable insights that can be adapted and implemented at Government Science College, Veraval to further enhance academic excellence and quality assurance practices.
