As part of the "Diwali with My Bharat" celebration, the NSS Unit of Government Science College, Veraval, organized a traffic volunteering event at Tower Chowk on 27th October 2024 to manage the increased traffic on the main roads during the festivities. Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Smita B. Chhag and NSS Program Officer Mr. S.M. Sitapara, NSS volunteers were assigned to key points around Tower Chowk to provide support in ensuring safety and order during this busy time. The volunteers actively directed traffic and assisted pedestrians, working alongside traffic police to facilitate the smooth movement of vehicles, especially during peak hours. They played a crucial role in maintaining parking discipline, guiding drivers to appropriate parking areas and ensuring that vehicles were parked in an organized manner. This effort helped prevent congestion and ensured that emergency vehicles could navigate the roads easily.
