Government Science College Veraval (Gir-Somnath) celebrated second week of January 2025 as Sports Week, Science Carnival and Annual Function from 6th January to 10th January 2025. Under Sports Band of Saptadhara, a badminton competition was held on 7th January 2025 in ‘Magnus 2025’. The rules for the Badminton competition were explained by the coordinator and students were provided necessary equipments for the competition. The duration of this competition was about four hours. Dr. D. K. Pandya coordinated this badminton completion for male students under the supervision and guidance of principal of the college, Dr. Smita Chhag Madam. All the teaching and non-teaching staff members of the college supported a lot to make this competition successful. Few Geo-tagged photographs taken during this competition are attached with this report. Fourty students (boys) participated in this competition. Out of forty students, eighteen students won the first round and selected for second round. Out of eighteen students, nine students won the second round and selected for third round. Out of nine students, five students won the third round and selected for the final round. In the final round, following four students secured first, second, third and forth ranks.
